Counselling and Psychotherapy
At some point in their lives, most people will experience emotional distress and ask for help. Counselling and psychotherapy can offer the opportunity to talk openly about what’s troubling you, and to work towards understanding feelings, behaviours, and how to bring about change.
My practice is led by a genuine curiosity about and interest in people, and I tailor my approach to each person I work with. My training in integrative counselling and psychotherapy incorporates humanistic, existential and psychodynamic approaches. In practice this means that while I believe early experiences and attachments can tell us a lot about how we feel about ourselves and relate to others, my approach also places importance on an exploration of current experience and the meanings you make of it.
Therapy is a unique encounter, unlike a social conversation – and it can make people feel anxious or awkward. My aim is to help you feel more comfortable speaking about difficult experiences or emotions, and to build a warm, solid working relationship within which we can understand together what is going on.
I work in two Central London locations: on Gray's Inn Road (WC1) near King's Cross and Russell Square tube stations, and on Shoreditch High Street (E1), within easy reach of Liverpool Street, Old Street, and Shoreditch High Street stations. I have daytime and some evening sessions available. If you would like to make an appointment for an initial consultation, please get in touch by email.
